TSESI2024 - Technical Sales Engineer – Republic of Ireland

Salary - Negotiable depending on background and experience

The Company: Guhring is a Market Leading - Global Cutting Tool Company that provides milling cutters to drills, tool holders and so much more, offering customers a broad portfolio of rotary cutting tools, covering industries from general subcontract machining to Automotive and Aerospace.

What does the role entail:
You will be developing cutting tool sales within end-user production facilities and distribution customers across The Republic of Ireland, preferably located near Munster.  Supporting and advising customers with technical information and machining strategies, along with running tool trials with the customers.  In working with our valued customer base our Sales Engineers promote and sell our range of products, by managing existing clients, sourcing new customers, following up sales leads and developing new revenue streams from the customer base.  Initial and regular product training will be given.   

Key responsibilities in this sales role are:

  • Delivering sales growth
  • Technically supporting customers
  • Solving customer’s machining issues
  • Establishing new customer relationships
  • Promoting our products to new and existing customers
  • Being a primary contact point for your customer base.

What we’ll be looking for:

  • A background of applications experience in the use of Cutting Tools.
  • Ideally experience in selling to the metal cutting industry, typically machining, automotive and aerospace.
  • Ideally a sales track record in generating new business but also account management of existing customers.
  • You will be able to demonstrate proactivity, taking the initiative and driving sales opportunities to completion.
  • Proficiency with MS Office in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Candidate is to be located in Republic of Ireland

SSEV23 - Service & Support Engineer (Vending)

Salary - £ TBC

We are looking for a Service & Support Engineer to maintain Guhring tool vending machines on site at a customer’s premises. The ideal candidate will have good computer / IT skills and the ability to maintain and repair vending machines. In return for a competitive salary and company van.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Repair and maintenance of vending machines
  2. Ability to train others on tool management software
  3. Fault finding
  4. General customer service and support via phone, face to face or a remote log in
  5. Travel to customer locations with UK & Ireland

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous electrical experience preferred but not essential
  • Current full driving licence as travel between sites will be required
  • Advanced Computer / IT skills – MS Office
  • Good communication skills

IAE 2024 - Internal Applications Engineer

Salary - Negotiable depending on experience

We are looking for a new Internal Applications Engineer to work within the Technical Department in Aston, Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and be well organised. This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities in this role are:

  • Create NC programmes using CAD software
  • Prove out and run demonstration and test components on CNC machine tools
  • Operate 5 axis and CNC turning machinery
  • Communicate with customers to evaluate their specific requirements and specifications
  • Generate quotations for special tooling
  • Communicate with external sales team
  • Collaborate with Germany OEM team on Tooling Packages and Projects

To succeed in this role, you will be a time served machinist looking to move away from the shop floor and have good knowledge of precision cutting tool application in drilling, milling, reaming & thread production. We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a methodical and organised mindset and knowledge of MS Office applications. Use of CAM and awareness of SAP is favourable, but training will be given.

You will be reporting directly to the regional sales manager, who has been with Guhring for 8 years and has a wealth of knowledge in Aerospace tooling and cutting tools in general,  and the department head who is the National Sales manager with 19 years of experience at Guhring.
